After playing all teams in the S.E. league this season, today the league table turned. With the two losses earlier on in the season both matches today was a must for us to stand a chance of winning the league this year.

With 4 key players injured and a few others not able to attend we went down to Godalming with a squad of 9 outfield players. Enough players or not this is what we could field for the day. And so it happens, one of our key players twists his ankle seriously during warm-up for the first game and had to later in the day pay a visit to the A&E (stay in there Torb!!).

So already knowing these two matches against Sharks and Crusaders would be challenging, down to 8 men, we had to really step it up even more. And so we did!!!!

Vikings - Sharks  5-4

Crusaders - Vikings  4-9

Today was the day when recent recruits really made the difference. Of course the whole team played extremely tight and well, but looking at the effort put in by Patrik, Daniel and Jakub who are all three new for the season, today you became proper Vikings guys!!

Super tight defense - Jonas showing attitude we haven't seen since EU cup last year, Matthias rock solid and super dangerous turning the game, Patrik super solid - could not see you make a single mistake and how many times did you open up the game?

Ville - our center of the day - that played pretty much non-stop for two matches, say 100 of 120 minutes on the pitch?

Vojta, Daniel, Jakub - Great work in the offence!

Marek - welcome back from injury - we could not have done it without you!

Next two matches of the season, Brighton and Cambridge. Two tough matches, but let's nail them and the league victory will be ours!!!!
