GBFF Southern League Champions

History
London Vikings started off in the mid 90's with a number of Scandinavians working and studying in the capital who wanted to carry on playing Floorball/Unihoc whilst away from home. In 2000 a decision was made to take part in tournaments arranged by Great Britain Floorball Federation and London Vikings Floorball Club was officially formed. Ever since the club formation the team has enjoyed success in the domestic competitions winning a number of titles.

Club Information
London Vikings FBC is based and registered at Hendon Leisure Centre in Barnet Borough on London. The Club also has elected General Committee, Club Constitution, registered Bank Account, Child Protection Policy, and Insurance Policy and is affiliated to the national governing body of Floorball, the Great Britain Floorball Federation.

Ethos
London Vikings FBC is committed to foster and promote the sport of Floorball (Unihoc) at all levels, providing opportunities for recreation and competition. Membership of the Organisation is open to any person, regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation or ability.

Senior Teams
2005/06 London Vikings FBC had three teams from which the first and the second team competed in the GBFF Southern League and also took part in various tournaments like the Great Britain Nationals and League Cup. Due to the popularity of the sport in London area season 2005/2006 also saw the club establishing a third team. This new Development Squad was established to further expand the organisation to South London and provide more opportunities for beginners to start playing Floorball. The Club also found new links with students floorball clubs at London universities.

London Vikings 2nd and 3rd teams have contributed in forming a new team called London Crusaders who are based in Balham, South London. This recent development will further strenghthen London's thriving floorball scene and to find out find from 'links' section. Currently London Vikings runs one competitive team taking part in the newly established Southern Premier Floorball League.

Junior Development
The organization is committed to establish opportunities for juniors to participate in Floorball and collaborates with GBFF Youth Development to promote Floorball in London area. There are several schools in both north and south London which are looking into Floorball as a future part of their physical education. The Club is creating new links with Barnet Sports Partnerships and has recently applied a Club Link funding to initiate after school clubs in North London area and is continuously looking for additional funding streams.
